She’s here! She is beautiful and strong and growing so fast. If you want, you can read all about our birth story but for now, a big thank you to our photographer, Lisa Johnson, for these amazing keepsakes from our first family portrait session. They are the perfect pair with the gorgeous barnwood frame we got our hands on for our home, and I love walking by and smiling at it every day.
For those of you who know me well, you are aware of my weird allergy to water and cold (yeah, good luck living in Canada right!?). So you can imagine the sheer determination it took to go out into the snowy woods to get our maternity portraits captured. Where there is a will (and photoshop), there is a way! Our photographer Emma Haider did such a fabulous job at capturing our excitement and love for each other.
We are the Weirdoes, and this is our story.View Full Post “Stephanie & Alex’s Maternity Photos in Nepean Woods”
First things first, a shout-out to our friend and photographer, Melissa Morrissey, for these amazing keepsakes from our wedding. Second, a HUGE thank you to our amazing venue and staff (here’s looking at you, Mina!) for their great location, customer service, and sheer willingness to make our day perfect.

Explaining Concussions Through Body Paintings
When I was first introduced to the ‘A Caged Mind’ project by May Mutter, I was definitely intrigued. The more May told me about her experiences and the truths about concussions, the more I wanted to help. Her idea to create awareness by telling the stories of concussion sufferers through visual representations was something I was very excited to participate in. Her plan was to use her talents as a body painter to showcase the true nature of concussions, each individual telling their own story. View Full Post “A Caged Mind”
I recently set out on the adventure of getting engagement photos done with my fiancé, and the gallery is back. They are amazing, and I am even more excited for the wedding ones now! View Full Post “Engagement Bliss In The Cherry Blossoms”
It is easy to get caught up in your life and in the negativity around you, and to forget how great you’ve got it. Even though sometimes it may not seem like it, there is still at least one great thing in your life that makes you happy. It can be as simple as the pretty latte art you were given at the cafe, or as meaningful as a surprise visit from your mom, or as seemingly-random as the comfort of your favourite leggings. Whatever it is, if it makes you happy, you need to remind yourself of it. That is my 365 project for 2017. Every day, for the entire year, no matter what, I will write about something that makes me happy: 365 DAYS OF HAPPY. I invite you to join me in creating the happiest year for yourself! #sdemontigny365daysofhappy2017
