Small Business Branding Photography
I love working with small business owners and entrepreneurs, and even more so with mothers who take on solopreneurship because I know first-hand just how much of a challenge it is to run a business and a family at the same time. Creating GOOD branding photography is about so much more than a pretty smile, so after a pre-session planning strategy call, we set out to create images that you know exactly how and when you can use to further your business. Here are some of my favourite images from a recent session as a showcase so you can get to know another entrepreneur in our wonderful small business community.
Barbary Purdy Design
Meet Barb Purdy, the owner and founder of Purdy & Associates Design. Based in Carleton Place, Ontario she has provided award-winning design services within the NCR & Ottawa Valley for the last 25+ years. Barb and her collaborators combine their deep knowledge of kitchens, baths, millwork, built-ins and interior design to make your space beautiful AND effective. She is known for transforming challenging spaces into spaces that are as stunning as they are functional and accessible, whether a complete redesign or a refresh of existing layouts.
A big part of Barb’s service is making your home your favourite place to be, so we made sure to incorporate clients enjoying their own spaces for the photos. One of the big pitfalls of interior design photos is that they can often feel too staged or unlived in, so highlighting some of the features with “real people things” was an important part of curating the images to truly show how functional her designs are. If we wanted perfect, we would just look at the 3D renderings she offers. Other than wiping down surfaces and hiding a few dirty dishes, I can proudly say it’s all as-is.
